Content Sources & Rights

Nabah displays the Qur'an, its translations, classical tafsir, and recitation audio, none of which we authored, translated, or recorded ourselves. This page states plainly where that content comes from and on what basis we're allowed to show it to you, so there's nothing ambiguous about it.

Qur'an text and Mushaf layout

The Arabic Uthmani text, the Indo-Pak script, and the word-by-word data behind the Mushaf page view are sourced from quran.com and the Quran Foundation's public Qur'an API, and from alquran.cloud's public Qur'an API. The Mushaf page view itself shows the real printed Madani Mushaf page as an image, generated by the open-source quran/quran.com-images project (the same King Fahd Complex Madani Mushaf used by quran.com's own apps), rather than a re-typeset reconstruction. All of this is widely-used public infrastructure maintained specifically so third-party apps can build accurate, faithful Qur'an readers without re-typesetting or re-scanning the Mushaf themselves.

Translations and transliteration

English and other-language translations (including Saheeh International, Muhammad Asad, Pickthall, Yusuf Ali, and translations in Urdu, Indonesian, Bengali, Turkish, French, Malay, Russian, Hindi, Persian, and Spanish), along with word-by-word transliteration, are served through alquran.cloud's public editions API, which exists to redistribute these translations to Qur'an apps. We display each translation's name in the app so you always know whose rendering you're reading.

Tafsir (classical exegesis)

Where Nabah shows or draws on tafsir, for example to ground the "Feelings → Ayah" reflections in an established scholarly reading rather than an invented one, the source is a recognized classical tafsir made available through the same public Qur'an data infrastructure. It's never generated or paraphrased into a new interpretation; it's quoted or summarized directly from the source.

Recitation audio

Verse-by-verse recitation audio for every reciter in Nabah (Alafasy, Al-Sudais, Al-Muaiqly, Al-Dosari, Al-Shuraim, and Al-Ghamdi) is streamed directly from everyayah.com, a long-established public archive of Qur'an recitation built for exactly this purpose: verse-aligned audio for study and recitation apps. Nabah does not download, re-host, re-encode, or redistribute copies of this audio outside of streaming it to you as you read.

Duas (Hisnul Muslim)

The dua collection follows the structure and content of Hisnul Muslim (Fortress of the Muslim), a well-known, widely-published compilation of authentic supplications drawn from the Qur'an and Sunnah. The Arabic, transliteration, and translation are our own careful compilation from this public tradition, cross-checked against published sources.

What we don't claim

• We don't claim to have authored, translated, or recorded any religious text or audio in the app.
• We don't claim exclusive rights over the Qur'an, any translation, any tafsir excerpt, or any reciter's recitation.
• We don't charge for, paywall, or monetize any of this content. Nabah is free, ad-free, and always will be.
